The diving sites around Olhuveli Beach & Spa Maldives are for the experienced divers a thrill, the narrow channels deliver sometimes medium to strong currents and a variety of big tuna fish, sharks, eagle rays, stingray, mantas and turtles can be seen at different dive sites. Stunning coral formations and an amazing variety of reef fish and macro can be found on the easier reefs inside the Atoll. In August and September whale sharks feed on the rich plankton around Olhuveli Beach & Spa Maldives.
From January until April we can see dolphins underwater and we have mantas at night at the house reef feeding on plankton attracted by big lights, it is possible to make a night dive with the manta at the house reef.

Beach & Spa Maldives are teeming with sharks! On 4 of our signature dive sites you can see grey reef, white tip, nurse and leopard sharks! Occasionally hammerhead and treasure sharks can be seen!

General information Sun Siyam Diving
The diving school is located in the end of the main jetty, with a large sundeck, close to the house reef.
For everybody visiting the Maldives it is a must to explore the underwater world, even if you never experienced scuba diving.
There is the opportunity to make a 15 minute ‘FREE TRY OUT’ every morning at 10.30 in the lagoon next to the diving school at the end of the main jetty. Under experienced guidance, at a maximum depth of 1 meter you will find out that breathing from the scuba gear is actually easier then snorkeling and gives you a special feeling.
If you really enjoy the diving you can make the Try Scuba Diving, which includes; watching a short video, doing a few exercises in the lagoon and making a ‘real’ dive at a maximum depth of 12 meters on the house reef. There is no problem of you prefer to stay more shallow during this dive.
We offer also the Try Scuba Diving Plus, which means that you can make a boat dive with your instructor and you will be able to see turtles, napoleon wrasses, sharks, eagle rays, stingrays, large tunas and jack fish and many, many other reef fishes. The visibility during the boat dives will be better then on the house reef.
Opening times are from 8:30 until 13.00 hours and from 15.00 until 18.00 hours.
We offer two dives with the morning boat, departure is at 9 am and we will be back before lunchtime. In the afternoon we offer one dive on the boat and leave at 15.30 pm and we will be back at 17.30 pm. For the experienced divers there is the opportunity to dive with a buddy at any time independently at the house reef.
Two Bauer Verticus compressors and a separate Nitrox compressor make it possible to dive unlimited, either Air or Nitrox. We offer very attractive non-limit dive packages and Nitrox is for free.
We offer SSI Free Diving courses Level 1 .
